黄山不仅是中国名山，也是世界名山。
连那首著名的歌曲《我的中国心》都这样唱：“长江、长城、黄山、黄河，在我心中重千斤。”由此可见黄山在中国人心目中的地位有多重要。
但是你会正确翻译“黄山”吗？
最广为人知的就是Yellow Mountain。其实黄山的“黄”并不是指颜色。
黄山原称“黟山”，后因传说轩辕黄帝曾在此炼丹，于是信奉道教的唐玄宗敕令将“黟山”改成了“黄山”，山上还有座山峰叫“轩辕峰”。

有人可能会想，Mount Huang是不是也可以呢？理论上可以，从传播效果的角度来说却是不佳。
不要忘了，黄山这座山是坐落在今天的黄山市黄山区。Huangshan Mountain就可以与Huangshan city以及Huangshan district完美地关联起来。
说到黄山市就不得不说说古徽州，这也是安徽之“徽”的命名来源。宋朝的第八位皇帝赵佶在位时置徽州，府衙设在今天的黄山市歙县。徽州统一府六县（歙县、黟县、休宁、婺源、绩溪、祁门），历宋元明清四代。
而在刚才提到的宋朝第八位皇帝赵佶死后，朝廷给他的庙号恰好就是“徽宗”，正是那个设置了徽州的宋徽宗。既然配得上一个“徽”字，你就大可以想象徽州有多美了。
在后来新中国的多次区划调整中，原徽州的绩溪县划给了安徽宣城，婺源县划给了江西上饶，剩下的地方就构成了今天黄山市的大部分区域。

A traditional Huizhou-style house is usually built of thousands of timber planks, stones and bricks. The exteriors look very simple, with black tiles and high walls painted white and shaped like horse heads. Inside each house are many refined wood, stone and brick carvings.

姬公尖上有121户人家，村民们要发展20个农家乐，为游客提供吃饭住宿服务。仅仅柿子这一种特产的年产值就能达到80万元左右。
最后一个探访点，记者来到了位于黄山区的太平湖边最不起眼的一角，看到了难得一见的蓼子花，清澈的湖面上是一群又一群迁徙的候鸟。
那位被称为“黄山周杰伦”的当地摄影师道出了他沉醉于黄山的真正原因：
“黄山的山水人文、徽州文化底蕴无穷无尽，四季变换的景色也各不相同，我个人还没有看完、拍完、欣赏完，我还想穷极一生沉浸其中。”
Huangshan’s landscapes and Huizhou culture are extremely rich. The scenery also changes through different seasons. I don’t think I’ve finished watching, filming and apspanciating various aspects of Huangshan. I want to spend my whole life in the environment.

Huangshan is definitely not just a mountain. Known as Huizhou spanfecture in ancient times, it is embedded with mountains, lakes and culture.
“是让摄影师如痴如醉，拍不完拍不尽的天堂，是发展旅游新业态和全域旅游的沃土。”
It is a place that amazes photographers, a place that they would like to live and film for their whole life. It is a city that supports the new form of tourism, a city that helps residents to live better.
