And this takes me to the overall depth and history of our bilateral friendship.Like all great relationships, it has its bumps along the road, but will always stay strong overall, as the relationship between Australia and China is not a recent relationship.

This is a relationship which stretches back over a century, where we have fought and died alongside one other in wars, world wars, stretching back over 100 years. And at the very core is a commitment to shared economic prosperity to benefit society, and, above all, a commitment to the environment. This is so important. Because the Anthropocene - the age of humans - is going to be geological history's shortest era if we don't stop warming our planet.

Zero emissions energy needs to be made available at an industrial, global scale now - and at a price that competes with fossil fuels. The overarching solution to our warming planet is green hydrogen.

Last year, FMG launched a global search for the best places on Earth for renewable energy. Through Fortescue Future Industries, we are undertaking feasibility studies that could lead to the generation of some 300GW of power.And we are backing it up at home with an ambitious stretch target to achieve carbon neutrality, by Fortescue, across our business by 2030.
